2020 General Elections Aftermath: Labour Party says race was “well fought”, “obituary…will never be written”

Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) and elected Member of Parliament for St. Christopher #6, Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas, issued an address on Monday June 8th in the wake of the June 5th General Elections.

 

He said the Labour party fought hard.

 

 

Out of the 11 seats in the National Assembly, the Labour Party won 2 seats, while the Team Unity alliance made up of three (3) political parties here in St. Kitts and Nevis namely: the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) Party, the People’s Action Movement (PAM) and People’s Labour Party (PLP), won 9 seats.

 

The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) was unable to secure a seat.

 

Dr. Douglas added that in spite of the above mentioned, the Labour Party lives on.
