General Elections to be held on June 5th, 2020 here in St. Kitts and Nevis

St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris.

 

 He made the announcement in an Address to the nation, on Monday, May 18th, 2020.

 

This also comes six (6) days after the National Assembly was dissolved on Tuesday, May 12th, 2020.

 

In the last General Elections which were held on February 16th 2015, the Team Unity coalition, made up of the People’s Action Movement (PAM), Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) and People’s Labour Party (PLP), defeated the then ruling St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), led by Dr. Denzil Douglas.

 

In the 2015 elections, PAM won 4 seats, CCM won 2 seats and the PLP-1, totaling 7 seats.

 

SKNLP won 3 and the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP), 1, totaling 4 seats.
