Medal of Honour awardees “put country above self”, PM Harris says

Three (3) Nevisians were among nationals that received the Medal of Honour (MH) for contribution to nation building in various fields, during an Investiture ceremony in St. Kitts, on Tuesday morning (Aug. 17th).

 

The recipients from Nevis were Brian Dyer-national service in a crisis, Judy Nisbett-national service in a crisis and Dr. A. Linton Liburd for his contribution to Medicine, but he was not present at the ceremony. The other awardees are Pearline Theresa Mussenden-in Education, Joseph Benders-Arts, Patricia Clarke-community service, Pamela Brookes-Nursing and Charles Mc. Master-community service.

 

Shy Wallace, daughter of Telca Wallace, received the point of light certificate on behalf of her mother, for volunteerism and community service.

 

The ceremony was held under the distinguished patronage of the Governor General His Excellency Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton. Prime Minister, Dr. Timothy Harris, said all of the individuals were deserving of the award.
