Nevis Animals (Trespass and Pound) (Amendment) Bill, 2020 passed in the Nevis Island Assembly

The Nevis Animals (Trespass and Pound) (Amendment) Bill, 2020, was successfully passed at a sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly on Thursday July 2nd.

The sitting was held at the Assembly’s Chambers at Hamilton House, in Charlestown.

The Bill, which was brought before the assembly for its second and third readings, received its first reading at a sitting on Oct. 8th 2019. Minister of Agriculture here on Nevis, the Hon. Alexis Jeffers, was the Mover of the Bill.

The Bill deals with stray and trespassing animals for their impounding and disposal, as well as for matters incidental thereto and connected therewith.
