EDU-TAINMENT CAMP END WITH DRAMA PRESENTATION ON FRIDAY

Students participating in an intense one week drama workshop produced the fruits of their labour on Friday afternoon.

The Edu-tainment Training Camp involved students from various schools, youth and church groups who staged a drama presentation which highlighted a number of the issues including HIV/AIDS.

It is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and the Florida Voluntary Agencies for Caribbean Action in collaboration with Hippodrome State Theatre.

Health Educator at the Health Promotions Unit, Nicole Slack underscored the importance of the activity saying it’s a fun and creative way for the students to learn of the socials il of society and way to combat them.

Hippodrome State Theatre has been carrying out its theatre based prevention programme namely HITT or Hippodrome Teen Theatre as part of the Florida Voluntary Agencies for Caribbean Action for the past 10 years.
