UNESCO FUNDED YOUTH IN BUSINESS PROJECT LAUNCHED IN ST. KITTS AND NEVIS.

A UNESCO-funded pilot project was launched here in St. Kitts and Nevis on Tuesday.

The Youth in Business Project, organized by Youth Skills, is aimed at fostering entrepreneurship, creating social cohesion and boost productivity in the workplace.

The project targets 30 persons interested in starting a business to undergo 12 weeks of entrepreneurial and technical training to develop skills in three selected areas, Hairdressing, Barbering and Landscaping.

Youth Skills Director Mr. Fitzroy Wilkin says the project will be conducted in three phases.

It will be conducted in collaboration with the Small Enterprise Development Unit.
