2005 YOUNG LEADERS PROJECTS UNDERGO SCRUTINY
April 27, 2005

The adjudication of the 2005 RBTT Young Leaders projects is under way here in St. Kitts and Nevis and four other Caribbean countries.

A release issued by the bank stated that the judges are having difficulty selecting winners among a wealth of visually gripping high-quality submissions.

Some 78 projects have been submitted throughout the region, reflecting a wide variety of engaging and innovative means that the students have employed in addressing the theme: Strengthening Caribbean Society: Our Vision, Our Culture Our People”.

Students were expected to examine the elements of Caribbean people, culture and vision in the context of how these can contribute to a strong successful regional community.

Their efforts involved initiatives such as Caribbean festivals, exhibitions, historical research, theatrical presentations, murals, video production and the creation of websites.

The regional Awards ceremony takes place on May 25.

The other countries involved in the program are Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, St Vincent and the Grenadines and St Lucia.
