Opposition member calls for report on the investigation of the Electoral Office here in St. Kitts and Nevis

Elections for representatives to the Nevis Island Assembly are due in early 2018, and political parties on the island are preparing for the poll.

 

A number of issues which arose during the 2013 local election and the 2015 Federal Elections still occupy the minds of the public and party operatives.


One such issue is an investigation into the operations of the Electoral Office, which was initiated by the Team Unity Administration.


Opposition member in the National Assembly and representative of Nevis 11, Hon. Patrice Nisbett is calling for the release of the findings of that investigation.

 

Attorney General Hon. Vincent Byron Jr., has indicated on a number of occasions that the investigation is ongoing and that the results will be made public when it is complete

 

Meantime,


Hon. Patrice Nisbett who was part of the Federal government during the 2013 Nevis Island Elections, also took issue with the manner in which voters list were published for that election.
