Sandy Point Hospital receives donation of equipment
March 23, 2017

The Christophe Harbour Foundation donated a suction machine, delivery bed, three nebulizers and four cardiac monitors to the Pogson Medical Center (Sandy Point) on Tuesday March 21st, which will enable services at the hospital to be enhanced.

After a brief handover ceremony, Matron Sandra Daly-Finley took possession of the equipment and extended appreciation to President of the foundation, Tammy Darby.

Mrs. Darby said she hoped that the machines would be very helpful as the Christophe Harbour Foundation always seeks to make meaningful change in the lives of residents.

Deputy Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative for Constituency #5, the Hon. Shawn Richards, said he was grateful for the donation as he has had previous discussions with Mrs. Darby on several ways that the foundation can give back.

Minister of State with responsibility for Health, Senator the Hon. Wendy Phipps, said that the donation perfectly provides “a history of public-private partnership in our community in terms of healthcare delivery and service delivery.”

Additionally, it is understood that the Christophe Harbour foundation will roll out additional projects around the country.
