Man granted a $50,000 bail for 3rd Road Fatality in 2017

Approximately four (4) weeks after St. Kitts recorded its 3rd Road fatality for the year, Vendol David of Cayon (St. Kitts) was granted bail in the sum $50,000, with the following conditions: To report to the Cayon Police Station every Monday between 12 midnight and 12 midnight of following night and surrender travel documents.

David was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Causing Death by Careless Driving. He is due to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Thursday June 15th.

St. Kitts recorded its 3rd Road fatality for 2017 on Friday April 7th, when Ashleigh Brown of Soho Village on St. Kitts, died after he was hit by a vehicle on the Frigate Bay Road.

The incident was reported to have taken place at about 4:45 am.

Brown was reportedly on his way to Basseterre after finishing work when the incident occurred. The vehicle involved had the registration number P8282 and was at the time driven by Davis.
