Juvenile in custody assisting police with Rawlins Ground shooting

One person is in custody in assisting the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force into a shooting incident on Tuesday 6th June 2017 on St. Kitts.

According to a police release a seventeen (17) year old male juvenile was taken into Police custody today (Wednesday 7th June) for questioning.

The incident in Rawlins Ground St. Paul’s St. Kitts resulted in three individuals being shot and one succumbing to his injuries.

The incident which transpired sometime after 12 noon claimed the life of 32 year old Jahma Francis of St. Paul’s St. Kitts after being shot in the abdomen while Ajah Jules and Akio Benjamin are nursing gunshot wounds to their hands.

Francis’ death is the 14th homicide for the year here in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Police Service registers appreciation to those who provided information with regards to this incident.
