Two injured in two weekend shooting incidents

Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) and officers of the Cayon Police Station are investigating a shooting incident, that occurred about 8.50pm on Friday (June 23rd) in Upper Cayon, St. Kitts.

 

Initial investigations revealed that the victim, a 28-year-old male was shot by an unknown assailant, while walking in the area. He was taken to the JNF General Hospital for treatment.

 

Meantime, Officers of Police Division "B", are also investigating a shooting incident in Halfway Tree (St. Kitts), which occurred at about 9pm (less than half hour after the aforementioned incident), on Friday (June 23rd).


The incident resulted in injuries to one (1) male resident of the area. Initial investigations revealed, that the victim was shot by unknown assailant during a robbery. The assailant then fled the scene.

 

The victim was taken to the JNF General Hospital for treatment. Police continue to investigate the incidents.
