The Ministry of Health to Conduct Health Service Provisions Inventory.

Over the next few months the Ministry of Health on Nevis will conduct a Health Service Provisions Inventory.

Services to assessed include diagnosis, counseling and treatment of HIV/AIDS.

The activity will begin on November 28th and has a tentative completion date of January 16th 2006.

The Health Survey is the main initiative emanating out of a November 6th -20th Regional Research Skills Workshop held in Grenada.

In Grenada health officials from OECS member states were provided with training to uncover what HIV/AIDS services are currently available.

This phase 2 of the project included St. Kitts Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada. Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago were the non OECS countries invited to participate.

The training was conducted by United States Agency for International Development USAID and managed by the Public Health and Preventative Medicine Unit at the St. Georges
