GOOD GOVERNANCE AND STRATEGIC PLANNING: THE REASON FOR A BOUYANT ECONOMY

Good governance and strategic planning has been singled out as the factors that has helped to stable the economy of the Federation after sugar.

That’s according to Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Denzil Douglas.

He noted this in his 2006 address to the nation..

Dr. Douglas said the economy has been transformed from a mono-economy with reliance on sugar to a buoyant economy having scope for future challenges.

He stated that he stood proud to be leader of the country that has been successful in making a somewhat seamless change over, a feat he noted that other countries around the world were not successful.
