An autopsy performed on the body of 22 year old Jessups resident, Alvin Maynard has concluded that death was caused by a single gunshot wound to the head.

The autopsy was performed yesterday by Barbadian pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones.

Maynard alias “Alleycat” died in hospital Sunday night.

It is alleged that Maynard opened fire on a hire bus and shot a passenger, Fountain Resident Joseph Belgrave.

After opening fire on the bus of passenger reports are that Maynard fled the seen but was found later with a bullet wound to the head in the vicinity of the gas station in Jessups and was taken to hospital.

It is alleged that Maynard was attempting to assist his friend who had gotten into an argument with the bus driver after he had refused to take Maynard and his friend up to the Jessups Road.

Police authorities continuing investigations into the matter.
