The Nevis Dyslexia Awareness Group(NDAG), will next week begin its educational drive to familiarize the public about this impediment.

Dyslexia Specialist, Mrs. Hyacinth Rose-Manners will conduct a lecture at the Gingerland Secondary School on January 16th.

The awarness lecture starts at 6pm.

According to Interim Public Relations Officer of the Nevis Dyslexia Awareness Group(NDAG), Ms. Desery Ottley,"this is a chance for persons to come out and get a better understanding of dyslexia."

"We are hoping that committed persons would join and we welcome any financial help that can assist the growth of NDAG" Ms. Ottley added.

Ms. Ottley also took the opportunity to encourage parents, teachers and especially employers who have concerns about their children and employees to participate in the activity.

"We advise all employers to come and be apart of this activity. There are alot of persons with dyslexia out there on the job but they nor their employers know this."

She went on to say that an employer may ask his worker to do a certain activity a certain way but does it another way and stressed that the mixing up of sequence is apart of dyslexia.
