Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, Sir K Dwight Venner To Deliver 2005 ECCU Report

Members of the public in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) will be able to learn about the economic performance of the ECCU in 2005.

That’s because Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, Sir K Dwight Venner will engage the general public in a presentation and live discussion today.

In a broadcast being aired simultaneously at 8:00 p.m. on radio and television stations in all eight ECCU member countries, Governor Venner will inform the public about the performance of the currency union during the past year and the outlook for the medium term.

Following the broadcast, a cross-section of persons at the Bank’s Headquarters and Agency Offices linked by video-conferencing technology, will discuss the issues arising from the report.

The general public can also participate in the discussions by submitting questions and views to the bank e-mail address info@eccb-centralbank.org.

This initiative is intended to enhance the public’s understanding of key economic issues impacting the member countries of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union both at the country and regional levels and provide a forum for generating ideas on the way forward.
