This was the issue address on Saturday’s edition of the Youth On the Go Programme.

Student at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, on St. Kitts Ms. Cleon Ottley says that she has noticed a growing interest for the subject area among sixth formers.

She sated that she noticed that the Economics classes are usually the largest classes on both St. Kitts and Nevis.

Ms. Ottley stated that she was pleased with the fact that the syllabus information is up-to-date with the happenings of the country.

She however emphasized that there must be effective interaction between the experienced and the novice, where a more practical approach is adopted.

Saturday’s programme formed part of ongoing efforts of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank to solicit the view of young persons on issues raised in the presentation by Governor Venner on the 2005 Currency Union Economic Review.
