ST. KITTS TO HOST 55TH ECCB MONETARY COUNCIL

St. Kitts and Nevis, will host the 55th Meeting of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Monetary Council later this week.

The February 17th meeting will be under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of St. Lucia, Dr. Hon. Kenny Anthony.

The meeting is expected to receive the Governor’s report on monetary and credit conditions.

The Council will also provide directives and guidelines to the Central Bank as mandated by the ECCB Agreement of 1983, which governs the operations of the Bank.

The Monetary Council, is the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank’s highest decision making body.
