Premier of Nevis the Hon. Mark Brantley speaking at his first press conference for the new decade today Tuesday 28th January, congratulated the NRP Candidate Mrs. Cleone Stapleton-Simmonds on her selection.
In congratulating her, Premier Brantley also had some words of admonition for the new candidate.
The retirement of the Hon. Joseph Parry from active politics has triggered a by-election here on Nevis.
According to the constitution, a by-election must be called within 90 days.
Should we expect the election to be called in the next few days or weeks?
The ruling CCM-led Administration has not named its candidate to run in that area.
