SKNLP withdraws all six election petitions

The St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) withdrew all six election petitions, which challenged the results of the General Elections, in six of the eight seats in St. Kitts.

In the June 5th General Elections, the Party secured 2 of the 11 seats here in St. Kitts and Nevis (SKN).

The SKNLP challenged the results in Constituencies # Two, Three, Four, Five, Seven and Eight.

The Team Unity alliance made up of three (3) political parties here in St. Kitts and Nevis namely: the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) Party, the People’s Action Movement (PAM) and People’s Labour Party (PLP), won 9 seats (CCM-3, PLP-2, PAM-4).

The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) was unable to secure a seat.

In June, about 3 weeks after the General Elections here in SKN, Leader of the SKNLP, Dr. the Right Hon. Denzil Douglas, made this remark and claimed “cheating” took place during the Elections.
