St. Kitts and Nevis withdraws from the CARICOM Bubble

 Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris. 

 

The Prime Minister made the announcement on Tuesday evening (November 3rd), during the “Leadership Matters” program.

 

This also comes on the heels of discussions with Cabinet and the National COVID-19 Task Force and after which, arrived at a consensus, to withdraw.  

 

According to PM Harris, he advised CARICOM’s Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, of the development. 

 

The Prime Minister stated that to enter a bubble with countries at higher risk of COVID-19, would be imprudent:
