As St. Kitts and Nevis near the completion of the last quarter of 2019 the Ministry and Department of Agriculture continues to encourage the populous to engage in healthy eating.

Director of Agriculture on St. Kitts Mr. Melvin James says this can be done by eating locally and supporting farmers in the federation.

Director James also pointed out that a collaborative initiative between both departments will be rolled out in the near future.

This program he said is to have more food provided by local producers in order to satisfy the population and reduce importation of certain agricultural products.
