Supermarket supplies to be replenished as 24 hour curfew eases

Arrangements have been made by authorities in St. Kitts and Nevis to restock supplies in the supermarkets to meet the demand for food and other items when the lock-down period is expected to ease on Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday, April 9th, 2020.

Attorney General, the Hon. Vincent Byron Jr., said that Commissioner of Police, Hilroy Brandy and members of the Police High Command have been engaged on this matter and has granted “special dispensation” for supermarket workers to go in to perform this task.

Last Thursday, Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, announced a “limited curfew”, following a “Total Lockdown” in St. Kitts and Nevis, which began at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31st, 2020 and ended at 6:00 a.m., Friday, April 3rd, 2020.
