Medical Chief of Staff explains role of Cuban Doctors

With regards to the Cuban Doctors and Nurses here in St. Kitts and Nevis, what is the role they are playing, as almost all of St. Kitts and Nevis’ confirmed cases have recovered?

Health specialists from the Republic of Cuba arrived in St. Kitts on Saturday March 28th, to assist the Government in strengthening its health sector in the fight against the Coronavirus (CoVID-19).

The 34-member delegation comprises 30 nurses and four doctors, trained in Intensive Care Medicine. 28 of the specialists were deployed in St. Kitts and six (6) were deployed on Nevis.

SKN has 15 confirmed cases of CoVID-19 to date, 11 in St. Kitts, 4 here on Nevis, with 14 recoveries (10 in St. Kitts, 4 here on Nevis) and zero (0) deaths.

Nonetheless, Medical Chief of Staff, Dr. Cameron Wilkinson, mentioned that it is best to play it safe.
