That was the voice of Federal Minister with responsibility for Housing, Hon. Dr. Geoffery Hanley speaking at the ground breaking ceremony for the Cornerstone Housing Project in Douglas Estate, St. Kitts.

Held on Saturday, March 25th, this housing initiative forms part of the government’s larger plan dubbed the SMART Housing Initiative, which will see the construction of 2,400 homes over a five-year period.

According to Minister Hanley “E&J Construction has been hired as the contractor to construct 2- and 3-bedroom houses which have the potential to implement smart features per client’s need and/or afford advanced technological features”.

Construction of the first three homes is currently underway.
