The Department of Agriculture here on Nevis has launched a 10,000 tree island wide planting initiative.

The launching ceremony which took place at the St. Thomas’ Primary School grounds on January 29th 2020, saw sixteen fruit bearing trees planted by students attending the school.

The VONNEWSLINE spoke to Director of Agriculture, Mr. Randy Elliot, about the initiative.

Mr. Elliot elaborated on how the program will be undertaken.

When asked if there are any additional partners involved in the project this was Mr. Elliot’s response.
