10th Nevis Mango Festival kicked off on Thursday evening

The Nevis Tourism Authority began the celebration of its 10th annual Nevis Mango Festival on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.

The weekend festival seeks to highlight the different uses and benefits of arguably the island’s most popular fruit, ‘the mango’. Nevis houses over 40 varieties of the fruit, with numerous trees surrounding every community on the island.

The four-day-event highlights the fruit in various dishes and drinks as well as its use in self-care products.

Apart of the lineup was the ‘Inaugural Event’ last evening at the Botanical Gardens, Mango Mania will be held at the Indian Castle Fruit Orchard and Pinney’s Beach (today) Friday, a Foot Tour at a number of restaurants on Nevis, the Supper Club at Mango’s Restaurant at Four Seasons Resort and the “For the love of Mangoes” event on Saturday.

Marketing Director at the Authority, Mr. Pheon Jones, spoke on the feedback received on last year’s “For the love of Mango” event and also the changes that would be made this year:
