Last year, the federal government expanded opportunities for tertiary education through a new partnership with Southern University in Louisiana, USA.

It follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the university, outlining reduced tuition rates, credit transfers, and shorter study durations—aimed at easing access and costs for students from the federation.

Furthermore, Southern University is a part of the Southern University and A&M College System, the only historically black university system in America, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
