2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season: NDMD’s Director says “increased activity in Atlantic Sea”

With a little less than 11 days before the month of July ends, Disaster officials have provided information about recent developments surrounding the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

 

The Season, which officially began on June 1st and will end on November 30th, has so far seen six (6) named storms: Arthur, Bertha, Cristobal, Dolly, Edouard and Fay.

 

Arthur, which was the first named storm for the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season, formed in mid-May and marked the 6th consecutive year in a row that storms have formed before the official start of the season.

 

Director of the Nevis Disaster Management Department (NDMD), is Mr. Brian Dyer.

 

 

A forecast was given for the latter part of this week.
