That was Federal Minister of Education, the Hon. Jonel Powell, who spoke at a Press Conference on Monday, with respect to the exam results from the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CXC adopted a modified approach to grading, which was to combine Multiple Choice and School Based Assessments (SBAs) or an alternative to SBAs.
In the past, CXC did about 30 percent moderation, but it jumped to 100 percent in 2020 for all subjects.
That means the teachers scores were not final. The final scores were only determined after moderation.
