That was Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies, Sir Hilary Beckles, at the 26th Annual Awards Gala held by the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies (AFUWI) in New York on Thursday April 20th, as he lauded Premier of Nevis, Dr. Hon. Mark Brantley.
Mr. Brantley was one of six (6) persons, who were honoured by AFUWI. He received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in International Government and Leadership. AFUWI was established in 1956 to develop an endowment fund in the United States for The University of the West Indies (UWI).
