2023 Mini Olympics…a “good meet” but the “hope is to improve for everyone”
Exactly one week after the conclusion of the Nevis’ premier event in track and
field, the Inter-Primary schools championship, officials have provided feedback on the event and said there is room for improvement.
The Gulf Insurance Ltd/Bank of Nevis sponsored championship, otherwise known as “Mini Olympics”, was held on April 5th , 2023. For the first time in its history, a medal count system was put in place.
In the end, Charlestown Primary School was declared the winner out of the nine
schools that participated. Chairperson of the Steering Committee for Track and
Field within the Ministry of Education, is Nicolla Fraser:
