2026 Child’s Month Parade to be held on June 19th

Hundreds of preschoolers, teachers and their parents on Nevis are expected to traverse through the streets of Charlestown (this Friday) June 19th, 2026. This is on the occasion of Child’s Month which is celebrated annually in the month of June.

 

 The theme for this year is “Fueling Our Bodies with the Best: Good Nutrition, Movement, Rest”.

 

 

As celebration continues, the Department of Education is encouraging all parents, schools, businesses, and the wider community to support and participate in the remaining activities planned for the children.

  

The parade is expected to begin at 9:00 a.m. from the Old Artisan Village to the Elquemedo T. Willett Park in Charlestown.

  

Other activities included: an Opening Church Service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Meads Pasture on June 1st, My Child and I Parenting Workshop at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park on June 2nd, a Nursery Rhymes Production at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre (NEPAC) on June 10th and a Staff Retreat at NEPAC on June 12th.
