The Nevis Public Library will soon host its 2026 Annual Summer Library Program, this year centered on the theme “Energy Awareness in a Global Crisis.”
Librarian, Shea Swanston-Wilkin gave this context for this year’s theme:
She spoke of other goals for the programme:
It will run in two age groups: the Energy Explorers for 5 to 8 year olds and Energy Champions for 9 to 12 year olds. The program will take place from July 13th to 17th and July 20th to 24th. Activities will include singing, group projects, crafts, and field trips designed to promote creativity, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship.
Registration has closed and the many applicants who have signed up are set to learn about the importance of energy and sustainability in the modern world. It is just one of the many activities to keep the youths occupied as they see the end of the 2025/2026 academic year and enter the summer break.
