24 students successfully completed the official Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language

On Thursday, August 31st, 2023 saw 24 children and adult students gain their respective certificates after successfully completed the official Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language Computerized Adaptive Test.

 

 

 

This was the second batch of students in the federation studying the Mandarin Language and the very first time in the region that this test was taken.

 

 

 

The official handing over of the certificates took place during a ceremony at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park and saw the presence of Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports et.al, Hon. Troy Liburd, Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China Taiwan His Excellency Michael Lin and Mandarin teacher on Nevis Ms. Chi Chen, who has been teaching on the island since 2020.

 

 

 

The contingent of students also included some individuals who were apart of the Mandarin group last year, wishing to further their knowledge and skill in one of the world’s most spoken languages.
