A total of twenty-five persons from Nevis are now certified as Emergency Medical Response Practitioners after a three-week course under the Ministry of Health.

Participants of the course ranged from a number of entities throughout the island including The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and The St. Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Services. All persons who completed the course received their certificates during a closing ceremony on Friday, March 10th, 2023.

Present at the ceremony was Minister of Health, Hon. Jahnel Nisbett along with Permanent Secretary, Shelisa Martin-Clarke who hosted the event.

Facilitator of the training and Nurse Paramedic from the United States, Mrs. Anne Highly Gergel, gave an overview of the course and testimonials were heard from Mr. Timothy Martin and Kenyetta Sporrod, two new certified members of the group
