A 4.6 quake was recorded near St. Kitts on Thursday Mar. 27th, the 2nd in four days.
Based on information from the University of the West Indies-Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC), the quake occurred at 2:57 am (SKN’s time), 169 km Northwest of Basseterre with a depth of 10 km.
It was located at Latitude 18.72 degrees North, Longitude: 63.29 degrees West. St. Kitts coordinates are latitude: 17.35 degrees North, longitude: 62.78 degrees West.
Other nearby cities included: Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and Brades, Montserrat.
Previously, a 4.0 magnitude quake occurred 43 km North of Basseterre on Sunday Mar. 23rd.
