2nd quake in four days rattles SKN

The second earthquake in four (4) days rattled SKN and nearby cities in the region, based on information from the UWI Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC).

 

 

 

The quake occurred at 1:20pm (SKN time) on Monday Aug. 21st, with a magnitude of 4.4, with a depth of 10km.

 

 

 

It was located at Latitude: 19.25 degrees N, Longitude: 61.22 degrees W.

 

 

 

It struck 274 km NE of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, 247 km NNE of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and 294 km NE of Brades, Montserrat. There were no reports of injuries.

 

 

 

It comes following a 3.5 magnitude quake on Aug. 17th.
