A quake with a magnitude of 3.5 occurred near Basseterre, St. Kitts on Tuesday April 29th.
Based on information from the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC), it took place at 12:12 pm local time occurring 89 km West-Southwest of Basseterre, at a depth 10 km.
The quake’s location was latitude 17.14N and longitude: 63.52W while St. Kitts coordinates are latitude: 17.35 degrees North and longitude: 62.78 degrees West.
Additionally, it was recorded 185 kilometres West of Saint John’s, Antigua & Barbuda, and 150 kilometres West-Northwest of Brades, Montserrat. The last quake occurred on Good Friday (April 18th) with a magnitude 5.2.
