3.5 quake recorded near SKN, the second in three days
Based on information from the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC), another quake occurred in our region last week, this time, a 3.5 magnitude quake on Thursday Dec. 12th.
The UWI-SRC mentioned via its Facebook page, it took place at 6:22 am (local time) and was located at latitude: 18.74 degrees N, longitude: 61.94 degrees West, with a depth of 10 km.
It occurred 182 km, NE of Basseterre, Saint Kitts, 181 km, North of St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and 218 km, North of Brades, Montserrat. There were no felt reports.
This is the 2nd quake to have occurred near SKN and comes following a 3.9 magnitude quake that took place on Monday Dec. 9th.
