Information from the University of the West Indies-Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC) has indicated that a quake was recorded near St. Kitts, on Saturday Mar. 15th.
The 3.6 quake occurred at 12:28 pm (local time) and occurred 111 km North East of Basseterre.
It occurred at a depth of 27 km and its coordinates were Latitude 18.01 degrees N and Longitude: 62.03 degrees W.
Other nearby cities included: Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and Brades, Montserrat. Previously, a 3.7 quake occurred near St. Kitts on Feb. 21st.
Experts continue to encourage residents to remain prepared for potential earthquakes, as the Eastern Caribbean is a seismically active region.
