A 3.9 magnitude Earthquake was recorded near St. Kitts & Nevis on Wednesday evening (Apr. 10th).

 

 

 

The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC) says it occurred at 9:46 pm, 79 km northeast of Basseterre.

 

 

 

The earthquake’s epicenter was located at Latitude: 17.79 degrees N, Longitude: 62.21 degrees W, with a depth of 22 km.

 

 

 

Nearby cities to the epicenter included: Basseterre in St. Kitts, approximately 79 km to the northeast, St. John’s in Antigua and Barbuda, approximately 85 km to the northwest, and Brades in Montserrat, approximately 110 km to the north.
