That was Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris giving an update on the severance payments paid out to affected workers made redundant on both islands.

Since the pandemic many workers particularly from the hospitality sector have lost their jobs. This resulted in a flood of claims to the Department of Labour for severance payments.

In addressing the matter Dr. Harris provided this additional information regarding the amounts paid to St. Kitts and Nevis separately as well as the remaining claims being processed.
