Premier of Nevis, Minister of Finance and Foreign Investment – the Hon. Mark Brantley. 

He made the announcement last Thursday (January 28^th), at his Press Conference.

This comes in the midst of the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) seeking to rebuild the local economy. 

The other International Banks on the island are: Nevis International Bank & Trust Limited and Bank of Nevis International Trust Services. 

According to capital.com, rather than dealing with the public, merchant banks provide commercial loans, underwriting and investment for companies and wealthy individuals.
