About 24 hours after an earthquake occurred near Basseterre, St. Kitts, another quake took place.
The natural phenomenon occurred on Friday Mar. 20th, at 8:50pm, according to the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC).
It had a strength of 3.8 on the Richter scale and was located at latitude: 19.22 degrees N, longitude: 62.56 degrees W and struck at a depth of 10 km. St. Kitts coordinates are latitude: 17.35 degrees North, longitude: 62.78 degrees West.
UWI-SRC says it was recorded 214 km N of Basseterre, 247 km NNW of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and 272 km N of Brades, Montserrat.
Friday’s quake comes in the wake of a quake occurring on Thursday Mar. 19th and one week following one which took place on Friday Mar. 13th.
