An earthquake occurred near Basseterre, St. Kitts on Thursday, Nov. 23rd, 2023. According to the UWI Seismic Research Centre, this was the 2nd recorded in the federation for November.

The Seismic Research Centre says the 4.1 quake occurred at 9:53pm, with a depth of 10 km.

It was located near Latitude: 19.25 degrees N Longitude: 61.83 degrees W. St. Kitts coordinates are latitude: 17.35 degrees N, longitude: 62.78 degrees W.

It struck 239 km, NE of Basseterre, St. Kitts. Other nearby cities include: Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and Brades, Montserrat. There were no reports of injuries. A 4.0 earthquake rattled the Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis on Monday November 6th.
