A 4.2 quake occurred near St. Kitts on Monday Dec. 23rd, according to information from uwiseismic.com.
The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC), said it took place at 2:03 am (local time), 29 km, West-Northwest of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and was located at latitude: 17.36 degrees N, longitude: 62.99 degrees West, with a depth of 31.1 km.
St. Kitts coordinates are latitude: 17.35 N, longitude: 62.78 W.
The quake’s proximity to other regional cities included: Brades, Montserrat: 107 kilometers Northwest and Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: 129 kilometers West-Northwest.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injury. On Dec. 12th, a 3.5 magnitude quake occurred near St. Kitts.
