45 Individuals trained as Prospective Teachers in St. Kitts

On Tuesday, June 24th 2025, forty-five (45) individuals received certificates of completion marking the end of their training to potentially join the teaching fraternity of St. Kitts.

 

The training sessions which began on Monday, June 16th, were held at the Advanced Vocational Education Centre (AVEC).

 

 Chief Education Officer, Mr. Francil Morris, told the prospective teachers that:

 

“Your commitment over these past days has not only justified your willingness to be a part of our profession [teaching], but it is an indication of your readiness to step into the most critical role in our nation, and that is educating our students. Reflect on the journey you have begun and remain confident in the direction that you are heading.”

 

While commenting on the theme of the program: “Transforming Education through Self Renewal, Holistic Partnerships and Digital Solutions”, participant Sonija Abraham described her experience.

 

She stated: “I have been exposed to a new view of teaching. We have all received the tools needed to truly be an inspiration to our students,

 

Meantime, the Prospective Teachers Course on Nevis which would have begun on Monday, June 16th, is set to conclude on Friday, June 27th, 2025.
