80% of St. Kitts & Nevis adult population suffering from Non Communicable Diseases

Junior Minister in the Ministry of health here on Nevis the Hon. Hazel Brandy Williams in her presentation during the 2020 Budget debate on Wednesday 4^th December, indicated that her Ministry continues the fight against Non Communicable Diseases (NCD’s) here on the island.

A non-communicable disease (NCD) is a disease that is not transmissible directly from one person to another.

She explained that NCD’s have become an economic burden to many countries across the world, Nevis inclusive.

She also implored the public to do better as it relates to their health in order to help combat these diseases as a major part of the population is affected.
